We are open again and things are humming at Rosie’s in Chestnut Hill. Our customers seem to be very happy with our new look and welcome the change. Grant it there are a few people who have been coming to us for years that liked the funkiness of our former look; after all, it was an environment that was very familiar. One of my favorite customers Carol who insisted every day in sitting in one of my very comfortable but almost broken down easy chairs has not found the new chartreuse green ultra modern upholstered swivel chairs to be as comfortable, so she now resides on the banquette across from her husband Arthur. Abandoning Rosie’s was never an option!
What I love is watching my regulars get engaged in conversation as if they were sitting in someone’s parlor. Some of them have met over the years just because what they all have in common is going to Rosie’s and enjoying a cup of coffee and a scone or muffin.
