Galina,I can’t thank you enough for doing the cake for my son’s birthday. The recipe was in Rosie’s first cookbook and I first made it for his birthday when he was eleven and he is now forty-one. It is his favorite birthday cake and I loved making it for him! But living across the country I can no longer make it for him myself. And so, it means a great deal that because of your kindness, I could give him that gift. Thank you.
I cried when I saw the picture. Partly, because of it was a sweet picture of Zach, Noor and Soraya. But mostly because of the human kindness behind your efforts. It re-affirms my belief that people really do want to help one another if given the chance. I co-founded a group here in Washington called Civility First. . .So We Can Work Together. We brought together conservative Republicans and liberal Democrats to work together to help reduce polarization between people. We are being successful, but it is hard work. And your gesture of kindness to a total stranger, inspires me to keep doing this work.Thank you.
